Tired of the one-size-fits all approach?
Your make up is different from the person sitting next to you, so how can we be expected to react in all the same manner? And what happens when we don't fit into the "majority"? - What answers are there for those who are in the minority? The answer is bio-individuality where traditional medicine fails to take the time to look individually at you. A Certified Health Coach can take the time to help shape, direct, and execute real goals tailored specifically for you. Here are some of the components that make up your specific bio-individuality.
Identifying Primary Foods
Did you know that the importance of the food you put in your mouth is second to the environment you find yourself in? You may eat really well but if your Primary Foods (i.e. self care, home environment, career, etc) are suffering, ignored, or out of balance, you're missing a huge area that could be impacting your overall health in a big way. If stress is driving you in your primary foods, your body will not be absorbing the nutritional benefits of the food you are consuming whether they are healthy or not. Together we walk through your personal environments in your life and set goals to help improve those areas in your life that need nurturing, These Primary Foods can include:
Home Environment
Career
Finances
Social LIfe
Relationships
Excerise
Self Care
Spirituality
Education
Creativity/Hobbies
Joy
General Education About Secondary Foods
Secondary Foods are anything you put in your mouth. The obvious one is food but can also include vitamins and medications too. It's almost instinctive to put something into our mouth but do we REALLY understand what we are feeding our bodies and most importantly what is my body doing with it? You are what you eat but also you are what your eat eats! Together we learn how your body reacts to:
Sugar: Are You Addicted?
Sugar: Where Does It Hide?
Cravings: "Crowding Out": First Decrease and Then Replace
Gluten: Should You Avoid or No
Benefits of Organic/Non GMO/Grassfed

Individual Sensitivities & Ideas
What one person can eat with no problem can be the root cause of someone else's disease. You can have a test that specifically tells you what you are sensitive to. Or, together we may need to explore what "works" and what doesn't work specifically for you. Our bodies are continually "talking to us". We just need to learn to listen. Once we become "in-tune" with our bodies, we become acutely aware of specific foods that energize us, and contrarily foods that zap our energy and leave us feeling bloated and uncomfortable.
While one person may have no issues eating meat, another person may prefer to abstain from it. Your lifestyle choices (social eating, traveling, preferences, etc.) are all part of what make you and your situation unique to only you. As you begin to recognize, understand and embrace your own bio-individuality, the road to wellness becomes much clearer and attainable. A Health Coach guides you in this journey.
